Jackie Wilson / RCC
ART Therapist

More About Jackie

Jackie is a dedicated Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) specializing in healing-informed care and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). With dual master’s degrees in Disaster and Emergency Management and Counselling Psychology, she combines academic excellence with lived experience.

Jackie is a part of and comfortable with the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community . This realization wasn’t a single moment but a slow, honest turning toward myself. There were doubts, old fears, and the weight of who I thought I was supposed to be. But with each step of acceptance, something steadier took place, a sense of alignment, relief, and quiet strength. Living openly became less about declaring anything and more about finally letting myself breathe. My identity isn’t something I fight; it’s a source of grounding, pride, and a kind of freedom I didn’t know I was allowed to feel.

Jackie’s time in the Canadian Armed Forces exposed her to the realities of unresolved burdens, shaping her deep understanding of resilience and recovery. As a consultant at healing and addiction centres, Jackie supports individuals facing complex challenges, including intergenerational burdens, racism, discrimination, bullying, two spirited, and marginalization. She has also worked extensively with first responders, witnessing firsthand the transformative effects of ART.

Jackie is an advocate for the effectiveness of ART in healing. Her compassionate approach empowers individuals and fosters healing and emotional well-being in a safe and supportive environment.

For those seeking expert guidance in their recovery, Jackie offers a path to renewed hope through evidence-based care and personal understanding.
