Our signature Intensive Outpatient Program is available online to serve those who are struggling with addiction and reside outside of the Greater Victoria area, and those who need to remain at home due to COVID-19. At Pegasus, our online IOP participants receive high-quality, accessible outpatient support to heal from their addictions while remaining active in their day-to-day lives.
We can support your recovery online by offering:
- Virtual intake and phone consultations for immediate service
- Group process and therapy provided through a secure and confidential online meeting platform
- 11 hours per week of of Intensive Outpatient Programming for 8 weeks
- 8 online individual counselling sessions
- Education on the neurobiological and biopsycho-social/spiritual aspects of addiction and recovery
- Trauma-focused treatment programming
- Concurrent-disorder-informed individualized care
- Virtual family consultations and support as needed
- Random urine testing via LifeLabs and/or portable breathalyzer monitoring
- 6 months of weekly online recovery management groups included
Individuals can attend online addiction treatment at Pegasus at multiple junctures on their recovery journey:
ENTRY-LEVEL:
The Pegasus online Intensive Outpatient Program is an excellent option if you do not require a residential level of addiction treatment or cannot attend a residential facility due to availability, social distancing measures, cost, work, or family commitments. Perhaps you are still functioning in your life but wish to pre-empt the destructive spiral of addiction. Admission to our online outpatient program provides accessible intensive treatment without disrupting your daily life.
AFTER RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT:
If you have been recently discharged from a residential treatment facility and you wish to continue your recovery process while navigating life at home, our online IOP provides an opportunity for the continuation of addiction treatment and a transition from the highly-structured residential setting.
AFTER A RELAPSE OR DURING A CHALLENGING TIME IN RECOVERY:
The online addiction treatment program at Pegasus is also an accessible option if you have recently relapsed, or are feeling vulnerable to relapse and require additional support in order to foster recovery resilience. During times of isolation and social distancing measures, recovering individuals may be experiencing an increase or a resurfacing of addiction-related issues such as:
- Cravings, triggers, or thoughts of using
- Loneliness or boredom
- Depression and/or anxiety
- Other addictive processes or behaviours
- Difficulties with relationships and boundary setting
- Poor adherence to recovery care plans such as: low meeting attendance, daily self-care activities, exercise, nutrition, and spiritual practices
